Qualifications

The British Columbia Entrepreneur Program is designed to allow business people and their families to enter the province, purchase existing business or establish a new business and become Permanent Resident of Canada with a period of 12-20 months.

To qualify for British Columbia Entrepreneur Program, applicants must comply with the following criteria:

  • Conduct an exploratory community visit;
  • Have a minimum of $200,000 CAD in eligible business investments;
  • Have a minimum personal net worth of $600,000 CAD;
  • Have a minimum of 33% ownership in the business
  • Business experience of at least 3 years;
  • Create at least one new job;

Citizenship Requirements

Investors and their family members who have lived in Canada for three out of the four years (1,095 days) after being granted with Permanent Residency, have adequate knowledge of English and/or French, have no criminal record, and have acquired knowledge of the rights and responsibilities of citizenship, as well as an understanding of Canada’s history, values, institutions and symbols are eligible to apply for citizenship.
